About Us
The Heart of Appalachia Community Orchestra formed in the turn of the century. Many local artists have joined, performed, and had a lot of fun being part of this group.
The orchestra is very open to new members, there are no auditions and only a dedication to learning your parts and attending performances are needed. Members are from Southwest Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and as far away as Kentucky. The age-span is very broad as well.
